This tutorial is dedicated to my love who is in America now for 2 weeks.

Sweetie....I miss you terribly and I love you...!!

 

This tutorial is written PsP 9 and is for the advanced PsP user.

Needed:

* A nice misted tube.
   My tube is in the zip file - Put this in a folder of your choice.

* Fonts: Snell Bd BT - Put this in your Fonts folder.
* My selections - Put these in your PsP 9 Selections folder.
* My brush - Put this in your PsP 9 Brushes folder.
* A beautiful poem - You can find this on the internet of course :)

Filters:

* Filters Unlimited 2 Color Booster - Get the demo here .
Attention
: this is a demo and will not work completely
Install the demo and import the Color Boost file into your FU 2 - It's in the zip.
* Andrew's Filters 8 - Tow the Line en import
this into your Filters Unlimited 2 - File is in the zip
* Xero Porcelain - Pick up Set 1 here

Now that we have everything let's get busy…

1. Open a new transparent image of 700 x 500 pixels.
2. Flood fill this image with a light color, I'm using #e9e7de.
3. Layers - New raster layer.
4. leave your foreground color to your light color, #e9e7de, and put your background color
on a dark color, I'm using #4a595a now put your foreground color to foreground/ background gradient
and flood fill your image with it.



5. Effects - Plug-ins - Filters Unlimited 2 - Andrew's Filters 8 - Tow the line with these settings:

6. Put the Blend mode on this layer to Luminance (legacy) and put the opacity on 50.
7. Layers - Merge - Merge down.
8. Layers - New raster layer.
9. Selections - Load from disk and look for the MAS-1-MissYou selection with these settings:

10. Flood fill the selection with your light color, in my case that would be #e9e7de.
11. With your selection intact go to Effects - Texture effects - Fine leather with these settings:

12. With your selection still intact go to Selections - Modify - Contract by 2 pixels.
13. Selections - Invert.
14. Selections - Floating and flood fill with your dark color. That would be #4a595a for me.
ATTENTION: Make sure that the Match Mode is set to none.
15. Selections - Select nothing.
16. Image - Rotate - Free rotate 15 degrees right and All layers is unchecked.
17. Now open the MAS-MemoriesMisted tube and go to Edit - Copy
18. Edit - Paste as a new layer.
19. Image - Rotate - Free rotate and use the same settings as in step 15 and place her in the frame (see screen)



20. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop shadow with these settings:

21. Layers - New raster layer.
22. Selections - Load from Disk and look for the MAS-2-MissYou selection
and us the same settings as in step 9.
23. Flood fill this selection again with your light color and go to Effects - Texture effects - Fine leather
with the same settings as in step 11.
24. Leave your selections intact and go to Selections - Modify - Contract by 2 pixels.
25. Selections - Invert.
26. Selections - Floating and flood fill with your dark color.
27. Selections - Select nothing.
28. Layers - New raster layer.
29. Go to your brush tool and look for the MAS-MissYou brush and use these settings:



30. Stamp the brush and place her in the frame and go to Image - Mirror
ATTENTION: You may have to lock a few layers to place her in the frame.
31. Put the Blend mode to Luminance (legacy) and the opacity to 35.
ATTENTION: You might want to play with these settings, because it might be to
low if you use different colors then I did.
32. Go to your text tool
, use your dark color, I'm using #4a595a again and use these settings:



33. Now put your poem / text and place that in the frame we just made.
34. Layers - Convert to raster layer
35. When your poem / text is in the way you like it then go to
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop shadow with these settings:

36. Layers - Merge all (flatten).
37. Image - Add Borders - 2 pixels with your dark color.
38. Image - Resize with these settings:

39. Adjust - Sharpen - Unsharp mask with these settings:


Now put this image aside, we'll be needing it again in a couple of minutes.

40. Open a new image of 600 x 450 pixels
41. Flood fill again with your light color, mine is still #e9e7de
42. Effects - Texture effects - Fine leather with the same settings as in step 11.
43. Open the MAS-MemoriesMisted Tube again an go to Edit - Copy.
44. Edit - Paste as a new layer and move her all the way to the left.
45. Layers - Duplicate
46. Image - Mirror
47. Layers - Merge - Merge down.
48. Put the Blend mode to Overlay.
49. Now get the image we made earlier and go to Edit - Copy
50. Edit - Paste as a new layer.
51. Layers - Merge - Merge all (flatten)
52. Go to your text tool, using your light color and use these settings:

53. Type your words and place them under her face.
54. Layers - Convert to raster layer.
55. Image - Rotate - Free Rotate 15 degrees and All layers is unchecked
56. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop shadow with these settings:

You should now have something like this:

57. Go back to your text tool using the same settings, but change the size to 28 and write your name
on the tag. I chose to place it in the upper right corner.
58. Layers - Convert to raster layer.
59. If your name is in place then go to Image - Rotate - Free Rotate with the same settings as in step 51.
60. Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow with the same settings as in step 54.
61. Layers - Merge - Merge all.
62. Image - Add border - 2 pixels symmetric using your dark color.
63. Effects - Plug-Ins - Filters Unlimited 2 - Color Booster with these settings:
ATTENTION: If you are using different colors you might not want to use this plug-in, because
it will not gave the same effect. If you are using grey toned colors, then it will make your tag look warmer.

64. Effects- Plug-Ins - Xero - Porcelain with these settings:


 

And we are finished...Now just put your watermark in, resize, sharpen and
save as a .jpg
